Terms & Conditions
You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi, plan your journey to arrive at least 30 minutes before any appointment.
For bus, coach and tram, you should book your taxi at least 60 minutes before the departure time.
For Birmingham International Airport, you MUST book your taxi 5 HOURS BEFORE the flight departure time.
Subsequently, for other airports, e.g. Heathrow, Manchester etc. etc. You should allow ample time for the taxi to be booked keeping in mind the distance and the traffic conditions.
Corkys Cars shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time.
You must order a suitable car size for the number of passengers and luggage. Corks Cars cannot guarantee to carry excessive amounts of luggage. Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as one passenger.
If you need to transport a wheelchair, please specify this at the time of booking.
Any special requests or deviations from the original journey need to be notified and should not be booked online. For those journeys we require you to ring our call centre on 01543 505058 for a tailored booking.
Journeys that are booked for IMMEDIATELY will be subject to Vehicle availability. This is especially for vehicles that seat more than four passengers. Please check with the call centre on 01543 595058 to guarantee availability.
Please ensure you have checked your booking details before submitting the form. Corkys Cars will not be held responsible for any mistakes made.
Please inform our operator if you have any pets that may be travelling with you. Corkys Cars reserve the right to refuse any animals or Pets with the exception of Guide Dogs and other assistance dogs. A pet hair charge of £10 will be applied if the vehicle requires cleaning after the journey is complete, with the exception of Guide Dogs.
Please ensure when booking that we cover the area that you’re in.
Corkys Cars reserve the right to refuse the booking should the booking fall outside our operating areas.
Prices & Payments
Corkys Cars are regulated and licenced by w Cannock chase district Council. All our online quoted prices do not include VAT, for receipts email support@corkyscars.Co.uk
The price you are quoted does NOT include any waiting time. This is for a journey from one destination to another. Should you require any extra pick-ups or drops, you need to notify the call centre, so the price can be arranged accordingly.
Payment can be made by credit card, debit card or cash. If you pay by card and cancel before vehicle is dispatched, we will refund your fare minus our refund fee within 5 working days. If the vehicle has been dispatched or arrived, we reserve the right to charge the full fare.
The price quoted may differ slightly due to traffic, road closures, waiting times or delays due to unforeseen circumstances. Please call our office on 01543 505058 if there any discrepancies with the prices and our operators will help resolve any issues.
Dynamic fares run at peak-times. E.g., Rush hour and home match days. Please read your confirmation SMS so you are aware of the price as the fare could be higher than normal.
Refund fee is 50p, this is deducted from the fare when a refund is issued manually. This refund fee is an admin fee that applies to all refunds from the 1st March 2022.
The Service
You shall be responsible for the behaviour of all the passengers in the vehicle during the journey. You will be charged £60 to cover cleaning costs in the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by any passenger.
Eating, drinking and/or smoking including e-cigarettes in the cars are not permitted.
Children travelling with Corkys Cars.
1 You must be 16 years or older to book a taxi with corkys Cars, anyone under the age of 18 must make and manage all bookings by talking to an operator. By calling 01543 505058 and pressing option 3, you must inform our operator of your age at point of booking. We reserve the right to refuse any bookings made by a minor.
2 All children travelling under 12 years of age must be seated in the rear of the vehicle wearing the seatbelt provided. Children 3 years or under MUST be always seated on a belted adult’s lap if a child’s seat is not provided. Suitable child seats are NOT required or supplied, such seats if provided may not be retained by the driver for use on the return journey. The driver is reasonable for seatbelts on children 14 and under. If a child refuses to wear a seatbelt the driver can refuse travel. For more information see Conveying of children below.
Corkys Cars will not carry more passengers than its insurance or licensing allows.
Dropping the rear seats will incur an additional £5 fee.
All drivers have the right to request payment up front. Any refusal of payment at the start of a journey can result in cancelling of the booking with NO option to rebook the service.
Corkys Cars always prosecute for non-payment of fare. Please ensure you have sufficient funds before booking.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact CorkysCars as soon as possible. If you cancel a booking after the vehicle has been dispatched, then a charge may be incurred; the charge will be based on the distance/time that the allocated driver has travelled/spent prior to the point of cancellation.
Liability
Corkys Cars shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road or traffic conditions beyond its control on the journey. Under no circumstances shall corkys Cars be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss whatever.
All luggage is carried entirely at your risk.
Corkys Cars shall be entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or terrorist attack, or other circumstances beyond its control. Surge Fares operate if there is extreme weather like heavy snow, we will always inform of fare before you book if inflated fares are in operation. If the car breaks down during your journey Corkys Cars will endeavour to arrange an alternative car to complete the journey as soon as practicable.
You shall indemnify corkys Cars against all losses, costs, damages, and expenses arising from any act or omission of any passenger in your party.
Neither party excludes or limits its liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for wilful default or fraudulent misrepresentation, or otherwise in any manner unenforceable by any applicable law.
Termination
Corkys Cars will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence, or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and we will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire.
Text Messaging and Telephone Calls.
You agree that Corkys Cars may contact you by telephone or text messages (including by an automatic telephone dialling system) at any of the phone numbers provided by you or on your behalf in connection with an corkys Cars account, including for marketing purposes. You understand that you are not required to provide this consent as a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services. You also understand that you may opt out of receiving text messages from Corkys Cars at any time, either by texting the word “STOP” to 07981505058 using the mobile device that is receiving the messages, or by contacting support@corkyscars.co.uk
Our App
To use the App(s)/Website(s) Services in the United Kingdom, you must register in corkys Cars mobile applications and/or websites and set up an account and you must be eighteen (18) or older.
When you use corkys Cars, you trust us with your personal data. We’re committed to keeping that trust. That starts with helping you understand our privacy practices.
User profile: We collect data when users create or update their corkys accounts. This may include their name, email, phone number and banking information.
Location data: We collect precise or approximate location data from a user’s mobile device if enabled by the user to do so. collects this data when the app is running in the foreground. Foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app open but not on-screen)
Transaction information: We collect transaction information related to the use of our services, including the type of services requested or provided, order details, delivery information, date and time the service was provided, amount charged, distance travelled, and payment method. Additionally, if someone uses your promotion code, we may associate your name with that person.
Usage data: We collect data about how users interact with our services. This includes data such as access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and third-party sites or services used before interacting with our services. In some cases, we collect this data through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tracking technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers.
Device data: We may collect data about the devices used to access our services, including the hardware models, device IP address, operating systems and versions, software, preferred languages, and unique device identifiers.
Communications data: We enable users to communicate with each other and Corkys Cars through Corkys Cars mobile apps and websites. For example, we enable drivers and riders, and restaurants or delivery partners and delivery recipients, to call, text, or send other files to each other (generally without disclosing their telephone numbers to each other). To provide this service, Corkys Cars receives some data regarding the calls, texts, or other communications, including the date and time of the communications and the content of the communications. Corkys Cars may also use this data for customer support services (including to resolve disputes between users), for safety and security purposes, to improve our products and services, and for analytics.
Data from other sources. This includes:
User feedback, such as ratings, feedback, or compliments.
Corkys Cars collects and uses data to enable reliable and convenient transportation, delivery, and other products and services. We also use the data we collect:

Miscellaneous
Corkys Cars may subcontract its obligations under this Agreement. You shall not assign, transfer, or delegate any of your rights or obligations under this Agreement.
Corkys Cars may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms and conditions regularly to ensure that you are aware of any changes. All existing bookings will be at the rate quoted or applicable rate in effect at the time of booking.
CorCars shall store, process, and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.
This Agreement and any accompanying quotation represent the entire agreement between you and Corkys Cars in relation to its subject matter. If there is any discrepancy between the terms of this Agreement and the quotation, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to confer any benefit on any third party, whether pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise, and no third party shall have the right to enforce any rights under this Agreement except where otherwise agreed in writing.
“Corkys cars ” is a trading name for Corkys Cars Midlands ltd. Corkys Cars midlands Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under number 07815225

Disputes
This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with English law and you and Corkys Cars each agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.
Conveying of children
UK law states that taxis are exempt from legislation relating to children travelling in a baby/child seat or booster. For Health and Safety reasons corkys Cars are unable to provide any form of child seat. If you require a child seat for your journey it would be the child’s parent/carers responsibility to provide one and to fit the seat in the vehicle and to secure the child. If you are booking a return journey and have your own child seat, the driver who carries out your booking will not store your child seat for the return journey, please note that the installation of the child seat must be carried out by you. All seats handed to our drivers must be labelled with your return journey details.
