As the proud owner of Corky’s Cars here in Cannock, I’m thrilled to share a significant milestone for our company and our community. We’ve taken a bold step forward in sustainable transportation by integrating two brand new Tesla electric vehicles into our fleet, making us the first private hire company in the area to do so, in partnership with Cannock Chase Council.
Our commitment to the environment is not new; with 80% of our fleet already comprised of hybrid vehicles, we’ve been on the path to sustainability for some time. However, the introduction of these fully electric cars marks a pivotal moment in our journey. It’s a clear signal of our dedication to becoming 100% green by 2025, positioning Corky’s Cars as the pioneer in environmentally friendly private hire services.
To commemorate this exciting advancement, we’re offering an exclusive opportunity for our customers. Throughout February, passengers who book a ride with us stand a chance to experience the future of transportation in one of our Teslas, free of charge. It’s our little way of saying thank you and inviting our community to join us in this eco-friendly transition. Please note, the Tesla rides are allocated randomly, and specific requests for them as free rides cannot be accommodated.
This initiative has received recognition from the local council as well, with Councillor Andrea Muckley, the Portfolio Leader for Environment and Climate Change, extending congratulations to our team. The council shares our vision of reducing emissions and is supportive of local businesses taking tangible steps towards a cleaner, greener future.
Our goal to electrify our entire fleet by 2025 is ambitious, but it’s a challenge we’re eager to meet. We believe it will not only benefit our environment but also inspire other local businesses and residents to consider how they too can contribute to a sustainable future.
At Corky’s Cars, we’re more than just a private hire company; we’re a community partner committed to making a difference. Join us on this exciting journey towards a cleaner, greener Cannock.
